Building Decontamination

Building Decontamination

A private university located in the Northeastern section of the US enlisted SUNPRO to decontaminate Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) from a large campus structure. SUNPRO was highly recommended by the University’s consulting firm based on past performance on a number of successful projects. SUNPRO used specialized equipment to remediate PCBs from 150,000 square feet of the building’s ceiling and approximately 15,000 square feet of impacted concrete flooring. By working closely with the consultant to develop an acceptable sampling plan that met EPA’s PCB remediation goals, SUNPRO was able to reduce the overall volume of material required for removal and off-site disposal which resulted in a significant cost reduction for the university.
