Aviation Fuel Recovery
When a private aircraft made an emergency crash landing onto a four lane highway, several hundred gallons of aviation fuel was released. Aviation fuel was projected across the highway and into the parking lots of commercial businesses adjacent to the scene. Additionally, fuel entered a communications vault and a storm water drainage structure. SUNPRO provided emergency spill response including containment, recovery and restoration (including excavation and extensive water blasting) from all impacted areas. Upon completing the remediation, SUNPRO prepared and submitted all appropriate reports with the governing agencies within the required time period.
