Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride Acid Transfer
SUNPRO provided emergency spill response to a multi-car train derailment for a Class I Railroad involving three tank cars containing Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride Acid (AHF). As a result of the derailment, two tank cars (one of which was breached) derailed into an adjacent river and the third tank car remained on land. The breached tank car remained in the river to allow the product to be safely neutralized while the other tank cars were recovered and prepped for subsequent transfer. A scrubber system was installed to manage and reduce off gassing during the transfer operations.
