SUNPRO performed remediation and restoration services for a large industrial manufacturer located in Northeastern Ohio. The project required the excavation of approximately 2,000 cubic yards of Tetrachloroethane impacted soil. The vertical and horizontal extent of impact was located directly below the facility, dictating that the work plan include creative solutions to solve excavation challenges. This included extensive shoring issues, and underpinning of existing structural columns and footings. As a precaution, a containment barrier was securely erected around the entire excavation zone and an air system was utilized to further eliminate the potential concern for human health and safety of workers outside the active area.
